Monday 10th August Squat : warmup 100kg x5 110kg x5 110kg x5 120kg x5 120kg x5 Hex bar deadlift : 50kg x ? 70kg x5 100kg x5 110kg x1 140kg x1 150kg x1 170kg x1 180kg x1 200kg x1 210kg x0 (F) Finished off with some leg raises and side bends. Good session. Getting back into it now. Alot of the strength loss seems to be phsycological. | ||

Military Press: warmup 55kg - 5x5 Barbell (Pendlay) Row : warmup 65kg - 5x5 20kg KB C+P : Right - 35 Rest - allow heart rate to drop a bit Left - 25 Delt Triad (Superset - Lat Raise, Front Raise, OH Press - 15 reps each) : 5K x 2 sets Not bad session. Should maybe have started with my left (weaker) arm when doing the KB C+P, usually do. | ||

Thats the training started for real today.Bench Press : 20kg x 30 30kg x 15 40kg x 5 50kg x 5 70kg x 5 80kg x 5 90kg - 5x5 Barbell Row : 20kg x 10 40kg x 10 65kg - 5x5 CGBP : 20kg + Chains : 20 30kg + Chains : 10, 15, 15, 15, 10 EZ Curls : 20kg - 5x10 Tabata (20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest - 4 Mins in total) : 20KG KB Swings - Managed 7 out of the 8 work intervals. Comments : Overall good enough session. Benching was comfortable. Rows just about right. CGBP was weird, might try something else for tri's. EZ Curls.. ok. I had to stop the Tabata because of a splitting pain at the back of my head that was just too much. Can still feel it just now. | ||

Session was going okay. Squats comfortable getting back into rhythm. Power cleans tried to work on proper technique which was getting me no where. Hex deadlift going well until I decided to try 5x15 at 110kg. On the 9th and 10th rep got this splitting pain at the back of my head same as last session during the KB swing tabata. Had to end the session there which was disappointing. The back of my head is really, really sore like nothing I've ever really felt before. Any ideas to what this could be? I'm thinking it could possibly be a lack of available glucose but somehow I dont think it is that. | ||

Had planned to do shoulder press 5x5, some KB C+P's, pullups and then some tabata. During the shoulder press warmup I was doing 50kg for a few and after 4 the pain at the back of my head came so had to stop. Was well pissed off. On monday I'm going to drop the NO Xplode and see if it goes any better. | ||

Ditched the NO Xplode and no headaches so its all good. Squats where never in doubt. Hex deadlifts comfortable enough. Abwork ok. The barbell thrusters where good but hard on the wrists due to clean grip. Need to get the flexibility sorted there. | ||

Benching was easy. Pullups went alright. OH Press felt good and Tri's felt good. Tabata was a bit easy. | ||

RDL : 60kg x5 90kg - 3x6 DB Row : 20kg x10 20kg x10 GRIP FAILING! 35kg x10 Session went okay. First time I have deadlifted in about 3 or 4 months. 155kg might have been a little heavy for 3x6 so dropped it down to 150kg. My grip was shredded after the deadlifts and had a big impact on rest of session. Might get some straps so that I can actually do suitable DB Rows and such next time my grip fails like that. | ||

Pullups where fun. Overhead Press went really well beat my old PB (60kg x4). Was good to be able to dip again looking forward to getting back to where I was with them. | ||

Deadlifts felt strong and after watching the video of the sets looked easy so decided to go for a wee PB. 200kg bit messy but I'll take it. Zerchers werent there so stopped done some curls for my ego and ended the session. Other videos to follow as movie maker is playing up. | ||
