all the comps i mentioned will also have ticket income and thats part of the overall budget. Like finlands strongest 105 had 600 people in the audience, and i think it was 6 euros each, so thats 3600 (assuming they were all paying, athletes got free tickets to give) then plus sponsorship.

Stacked in his favour or not,the guy is 53 and still amazing,rather than moaning about events would it not be something to go over and beat someone on their own turf.It's not like they're not standard strongman events.
If you want to look at lazy and unfair then look no further than Britian.Rather than go to the effort of running a Britain's strongest man contest a couple of athletes are just picked,so we are in no position to throw stones at Laslo's comp.I hope he wins it for the next 10 years.

The comp is flawed in many ways but then i'm sure Laslo is under no illusion that it's intended to be otherwise.What he is doing is keeping strongman a big deal in his own home country and doing it well,he's got the funding,the contacts ,the kit, the personality,i doubt that anybody else is lining up to do the job.Of course it's stacked in his favour but to his credit he takes good care of all the athletes,i see it that it's up to others to take him on and beat him,it's not like he's unbeatable or the events are crazy.I see it as similar to Magnus Samuelson,everybody went on about his comps having a bench press and high stone platforms but is up to others to go and take the title of him on his home soil.Right now when we don't even have a British contest i think it's a bit of a cheek to slag another country's attempt.
Laslo is a National hero in his home country,the people value strength and huge crowds turn out to see it.Our country couldn't give a s**t,Terry Holland's is a current World class strongman and few people out side of the strength scene would know who he is,but if some pencil neck retarded 17 year old footballer was opening a Tesco they'd be craning their necks to get a look at him.More power to Laslo.
