Strongman wins hands down, cause it has so many ways to get injuried!Grin

i.e football - broke leg, hamstring pull

golf - elbow injuries

strongman- torn liagments,ripped muscles,broke bones,dislocations,migrianes
torn callius's,muscle spasms, daily stiff neck and back, bruising,
dizziness and blurred vision, hernias, blood/snot and guts to name
a few!

AND THATS ONLY JUST TRAINING STRONGMAN !Grin

enough of this golf speak !

wtf thats a computer game lol anyway i know golf is not a good as sport (or game if you prefer) as powerlifting or olympic lifting the original point was that there are many sports which involve a lot of technique but that doesn't stop you from doing them.

exactly!

take football, snooker, darts etc...

a football player can do his club training, then practice free kicks for aslong as he wishes. eventually you are gonna be s**t hot at free kicks. Beckham did it for hrs on end everyday! ronnie o sullivan has apparently practiced for up to 8hrs per day..darts players are in there kitchen gettin pissed playing darts all nite.

how long can a weightlifter/powerlifter/strongman seriously train and how often?

f**king golf????

Golf is technically demanding, most sports are but it doesn't mean you can't do it.

You can learn to play golf just about everywhere in the ountry (in GB you could argue that money is a barrier for some people).

There are probably only a couple of dozen place in the whole of GB (maybe even less) where you properly learn to do weightlifting.

Most people, even if they wanted to, would not have the opportunity to learn to weightlift.

Hard to say really; you can mis**t a golf ball much further off line than a snooker ball, plus a golf club head is travelling at over 100mph as it strikes the ball so it is harder to be precise also a golf hole is much bigger than a snooker table (up to 500 yards+) whilst the hole is nearly as big as a pocket, also conditions are more variable i.e. weather, ground etc

Why can't everyone do weightlifting?

Weightlifters have excellent flexibility. If you wanted to convert from, say, strongman to weightlifting you'd have to 'undo' years of 'tightening'. I'm way too 'tight' to even perform approximate versions of the full Olympic movements.

LOL!

I donít think weightlifting is that difficult to get coaching .Professional coaching yes ,but coaching from experienced lifters, not that difficult.
