I went into a shop today in Brighouse called Top Rank Sports that sells some WL kit. I looked at the Power Lift 2 and they look nice and light weight but didn't have my size otherwise I would have walked away with some!

They also stock the Power Perfect 2's so I compared the heels and it is about half an inch or so higher on the Perfects.. Both felt the same in terms of stability though and compression.

10% off at the minute using a discount code on their website, with free delivery.

So if anyone wants Adipowers they come in at £135, the Power Lift 2 at £76.50!!

Thanks for the info waiting for them to be in stock now, just to ask about sizing, are weightlifting shoes sizes normally half a size bigger than your trainer size?

My oly shoes are 11.5's my trainers are 12's 11's would have been a better length for me but they would have probably been too narrow.

powerlift 2's sole is splitting apart (2 Layers). Had them a grand total of about 20 days. I am Outraged!

Why are the adidas considered more for the wider foot? :S are the Romaleos cheaper than £200 anywhere?

No, other way. adidas are a narrower fitting generally. Nikes just tend to fit me better.

Strengthshop had Romaleos for about £175 iirc.

I know 2 people that have had the red adipowers less than a year and they are both falling apart; tears in the material, sole coming away, etc. Doesn't say too much for the build quality.

If anyone would like to try both the Nike Romaleos and the Addidas Adipowers I found a shop in Leeds that carries both

http://www.ko-sports.com/product/nike-romaleos-2-weightlifting...

http://www.ko-sports.com/product/adidas-adipower-weightlifting...

For me trying them both together was really helpful, I found the Nikes very supportive around the heel but my foot was lost in the rest of the shoe (must have girly feet or something) whereas I found the Adipowers to be a nice snug fit altogether.

That's odd - adidas have a reputation for making extremely durable wl shoes. If you're just using wl shoes for squatting and overhead stuff really, the power perfect II's are spot on and they'll last a lifetime. Do-wins are good and have a slightly lower heel and wider foot, but they traditionally aren't as durable as their adidas counterparts. If you have the cash to spend the Romaleo II's seem to be the best bet, though.

I know someone who's split just recently while on the concept 2 warming up, think they are less than 6 months old.

Adipowers are brilliant. Best WL shoes I've used. Didn't get on with do wins.

Sorry if it's been posted already but I remember reading to have either the next size up or size down from your regular size. Which one is it lol?
