night gymbob...night billygoat Member 933, 25 posts SQ 210, BP 155, DL 290655.0 kgs @ 125kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 31.07.2013 @ 22:14 PM by Gymbob Hey there i'd just like some advice and previous experience with what weightlifting shoe to consider. Basically il be using these to squat in and some olly lifts, thanks. So far I have been recommended: Powerlift 2? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/adidas-Powerlift-2-Weightlifting-Sho... Power perfect 2? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ADIDAS-POWER-PERFECT-II-WEIGHTLIFTIN... or the adipower weightlifting shoe? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ADIDAS-ADIPOWER-WEIGHTLIFTING-SHOES-... Or any other recommendations? I know the last one is fairly expensive but I see it that if its best for comfort and support id rather spend the money as I know they would last me a long time. Thanks, James

Getting fat is just as dumb as using PED's Member 3387, 2532 posts SQ 275, BP 200, DL 290765.0 kgs @ 114kgs UnEq | Rule out powerlift 2 as these are a crossfit shoe and are only rated to a low weight, from memory its below 200kg.

That's rubbish mate, they're powerlifting/oly shoes. Just the replacement for the first Powerlift's. They look nice and are well priced, marketed as a weightlifting shoe not crossfit.

Getting fat is just as dumb as using PED's Member 3387, 2532 posts SQ 275, BP 200, DL 290765.0 kgs @ 114kgs UnEq | Bought these shoes about 2 months ago after lifting in running shoes previously. I will never go back. Lifting shoes make your base feel so much more solid, there is just no comparison. Pros: Reasonably Priced Cons: As weight increases (squat over 300lbs and deadlift approaching 400) the heels tend to squish just a little. Nothing like running shoes but I do notice it.

They weren't out when you bought yours. But I doubt very much a shoe marketed for weightlifting can't handle the weights Oly lifters shift.

Member 3942, 1107 posts SQ 200, BP 160, DL 315675.0 kgs @ 102kgs UnEq | I have the Adidas Power Perfect II's, I use them mainly for overhead and squatting and find them to be a very good. They are however the only heeled shoes I've tried. Quality's good. Had I actually tried to look after them (which I haven't), they would still look brand new. Mine just have a few scuffs as I've worn them outside for doing events and the like. Stitching and everything it still fine and the heel doesn't appear to have deformed.

Member 3942, 1107 posts SQ 200, BP 160, DL 315675.0 kgs @ 102kgs UnEq | It also may be worth noting the height of the heels. I'm sure the Powerlift II's are on the shorter side.

I have mine but don't know what they are called although it doesn't matter as they've been discontinued .. They're 12 years old I suppose . I tried some and they were s**t so sold them to my mate . Forget the name but they are the ones everyone says they are a bit heavy . Hope this helps
