And in the days before (assuming making weight isn't an issue) ??

At comp i like to have salty - peanuts, pringles etc, which keeps me thirsty and keeps me drinking. Also some bananas and sandwiches (most people can't seem to stomach them, but i do NOT want to feel hungry and feel fine eating proper food)
Drinks wise - i buy 8 or 12 energy drinks but only have them if/when i feel like them, and about 12 electrolyte drinks. I normally end the day with about 4 of each of my drinks left over. Jaffa cakes also seem very good - simple carbs with little fat.

The day before (i usually cut weight and weigh in the day before) i'll have something very heavy and carb based, but i'm used to it. Pasta carbonara, pizza, spaghetti bolognese etc. Maybe steak and chips. Have what you're used to - do NOT have something you don't normally have as you won't know how your stomach will feel the day after.

Better to bring too much than not have enough.

same as you normally eat but just more, before a comp

during a comp depends what you can eat and still lift- assortments of flapjacks, shakes and sweets are usually consumed during a comp

never been in a comp, but i'm gonna assume it's safe to say that milk or any dairy products are a big no-no yeah? i feel it coming back up mid workout even 2-3 hours after drinking it, i can't imagine it being that great for comp days either.

try stay away from carbonated lucazade as it plays havoc with some peoples stomachs on comp days

and save your jelly cubes for when you need them even if they do nothing for you get it into your head they will and it will give you a mental boost i always have mine before I deadlift at end of a comp

one of your main focuses should be to stay hydrated alot of people forget about this but its a big one

abit of dairy helps me bloat after iv cut weight to weigh in under 105 when i just use carbs i dont bloat aswell as I do when I add diary which f**ks up how my belt feels in the squat and deadlift and rom on bench

Isn't all lucozade carbonated though Confused ?

Sounds like a good shout, will save jelly cubes for later events, deadlift is first event which is unfortunate

Keeping hydrated shouldn't be an issue lol, I always remember that one!

I make my own

Oats brown suger butter. Classy cherrys chopped nuts raisins. Mix together in pan.

Topping chocolate peanut butter. Melted in pan smeared over cooled flaps.

Also I like nice pork pies.
