Help me rescue my Insulina. Member 5366, 1090 posts	Only been to bodypower once and to be honest was not that impressed. I spent most of my time watching either the powerlifting of strongman which was good, however the 'trade' side which makes up a good 75% of it was just: 'buy this whey, buy this preworkout, buy this fat burner, buy this t-shirt, buy this whey, buy this preworkout, buy this fat burner, buy this t-shirt, buy this whey, buy this preworkout, buy this fat burner, buy this t-shirt, buy this whey, buy this preworkout, buy this fat burner, buy this t-shirt, buy this whey, buy this preworkout, buy this fat burner, buy this t-shirt, buy this whey, buy this preworkout, buy this fat burner, buy this t-shirt' etc etc As if the crowd of thousands is so naive as to think that your sponsored athlete, jacked, tan and ripped to fk has had his/her results all thanks to your new products. 'Hear the Gaspari reps go on and on about how Flex has gained 18 pounds of muscle this year all thanks to our new intra workout aminos and world class whey protein!' - bo*cks. I don't much like paying £30 to be lied to all day. Hence why I frequented the strongman and powerlifting.

I went last year and had no intention of buying anything, it wasn't any cheaper than I could find it online. It seems like two people could go and have completely different experiences. I didn't get anything in the way of freebies, a lad from my gym got enough to last him about 3 months. I was underwhelmed by it all, I do agree that some of the crowds did seem to be young lads who were mostly concerned about looking hard and puffing out their chests.

Amateur arm wrestling, tug of war, try viking press a fitness model etc. Stupid stuff that's fun and make it a day out. Expos I've been to are just like going to shopping centre.

still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14379 posts	As an attendee of the first one and part of the exhibition I have to say that in the name of full disclosure I was bored s**tless and being around so many men in vests made me feel very uncomfortable. Not knocking it at all. It is what it is and seems very popular. Just not for me.

If You go to a trade fair at the NEC its usually free, so they add a couple of second rate powerlifting and bodybuilding events and charge you £30 I'm going to the Chatsworth international Horse Trials instead!
