Might get shot down in flames here ..........

But........ dont you think that the weigh in for 105 comps should be just before the comp? So that 105's are doing it ?

I dont understand why it is done perhaps 24 hours before to encourage dangerous weight loss/regain!

Be gentle guys ........ just asking!

So if someone has a big bottle of water to be hydrated for his comp, he can't compete because of this? Or should he be light enough to be able to have that water before his competition?
too many variables to leave it till the last minute with weighins.

1L of water = 1kg. a 1lb margin wouldnt be much.

Its definitly safer with a 24hr weigh in.

There are some big weights being shifted in both the under 90's and 105's, the last thing you want is for people to attempt these unless they are 100%.

Think the point of this is getting missed.

Under 105..............

So I am just interested in how somebody on the day weighing a lot more would be competing ?

The same competitors would do the comp if it was a 24hr weigh in or not. So it makes sense to allow them time to make weight and still be fighting fit for the comp (like boxing etc).

So if you are 105 and 1lb at weigh in! You are over!! How can you have an under 105 comp if you let them be over by 1lb??

For some reason my post didn't show up..

In my opinion: weigh ins should be on the day of the comp.

there should be a standard, the Scottish 105s is on the day but looks like the English ones are the day before.

surely as long as the comp has a window of a few hours to weigh in its enough time to cut and or re-hydrate.

105s use to be same day weigh in. Everyone always made weight and competed to my knowlegde 'ok'

international 105s was 24hour. So this was introduced here to go inline with the internationals.

Ppl are always going to dis-agree. But this is a safer way of doing it.
