Yes mate all set now! Hit a 150kg bench PB today!! Paused 140 for a solid single and I'm going to open on that all being well. Worked up to an easy 210 squat as well which again I'm going to open with. PB openers ftw

Wow!! Finally hit a new bench PB, ecstatic. 140 paused was very nice and this is now going to be my opener on Saturday all being well.

Comp day today. It's been a few months since I took to the platform as after a mixed start to the year recovering from injury, dieting and with goals outside of my own lifting, I have taken time to regain my strength and push on training hard..

So I guest lifted today at the Sheffield Powerlifting Club Vs Five Towns Powerlifting inter club comp at Iron Athlete Gym in Sheffield. These are both GBPF clubs and the comp was IPF rules and GBPF judges so a tidy one for a little run out.

Weighed in at 113kg, although I know the scales were 2kg under..

Squat

Warmed up to an easy 190

210 - Good Lift - 5kg platform PB
225 - Good Lift - 20kg platform PB
232.5 - Good Lift - 2.5kg all time PB

Bench

Warmed up to a fast 130

140 - Good Lift - 2.5kg platform PB
145 - Good Lift - 7.5kg platform PB & equals best paused
147.5 - No Lift

The bench on the platform was totally different to warmups and was really low so couldn't set up right and use my legs otherwise more would have gone.

Deadlift

Warmed up to an easy 240

260 - Good Lift
272.5 - Good Lift - 5kg platform PB
285 - Good Lift - 5kg all time PB!

Heaviest I've opened but that's relative to my lifting currently. Biggest deadlift of the day too and there was more there today, hardly any grind on the 285, 600lbs like a speed pull.

Total = 662.5 - 62.5kg PB!

Thanks Rodger.

I was 105kg ish earlier in the year but I'm more like 114kg ish now lol! I've just been training and eating whilst trying not to get too fat! I was around 108 at my last full power comp and made weight to 105.
