Haven complex Event 1: Silver Dollar Deadlift – Opening @ 300kg, last man standing. (Straps and briefs allowed). Event 2: Yoke – 440kg for 15m – head to head. Event 3: Log – 140kg for reps from the floor – head to head. Event 4: Conans Wheel – 240kg for maximum revolutions. Event 5: Medley – 320kg Frame Carry into 200kg Duck Walk for 15m each – head to head. Event 6: Atlas Stones – 115, 135, 155, 175, 205kg to 50” platform. 75 second time limit where applicable. Al lot more info will be posted as we move on with preparations. Entry forms will be avalible with in the next week so can ALL atheleats get in touch ASAP for a form. Entry fee will be £20. We have an allocation of caravans for competitors and organisers. As it stands there will be four to five avalible at between four and six berths a peice for you guys. At no charge. But this will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Has the standard increased that much in a year to justify using the same/or heavier weights? Genuinely curious and not trying to start any arguments. | ||

At the giants live qualifier six weeks ago four or five people acheived this with relative ease. The deadlift at Wales was a 280-300 equivalent, with around half the feild failing to get even a single rep, again even six weeks ago 9 out of ten competitors got this with lots making 330-350 and a 360 pulled. The same can be said of the yoke, farmers and stones. So yes. I do think the standard has improved that much, but can understand your concerns. It's Wales strongest man, to find out who is the strongest man in the land, we don't want any accusations of going easy! | ||
