My asshole is not watertight. Member 2926, 6051 posts SQ 217.5, BP 107.5, DL 225550.0 kgs @ 86kgs UnEq | he'd still need an 11% increase to break Eddie's record so it's still (possibly) a good way away. Looks like the Stoltman brothers had a blinder coming 2nd and 3rd! Brian Shaw in 4th maybe shows he isn't completely done in yet.

I think coming behind both Stoltmans shows that as far as winning big shows goes, he's finished. Killa was a league apart, and the worlds top 2 weren't even there.

no really Irish Member 1196, 5908 posts SQ 312, BP 230, DL 320862.0 kgs @ 114kgs UnEq | What I took from this video is that I can't deadlift 400, therefore, I don't even.

I eat a lot of meat Member 5124, 3005 posts SQ 245, BP 130, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 105kgs UnEq | Brian has parted ways with Stan Efferding, stating that he wasn’t getting results from his nutrition. I’d love to see him have one more great run, and win WSM, but I fear he may be past his best.

A member for 10 years and still no mouldy peanuts Member 1252, 4577 posts SQ 160, BP 120, DL 215495.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | Brian is a great strongman and a wonderful ambassador for the sport. However, his issues - such as repeated hamstring strains when doing competition deadlifts - surely are not the result of following a low fodmap diet like the Vertical one. (Which, tbh, does sound like new money for old rope. And I am flabbergasted by its success) I think he lived his competition life through the pinnacle of ridiculous weight increases in WSM and The Arnold's. And, in spite of that, stayed around the top for a very long time. But bright lights all burn out one day.

I would love to see him win another, but it's going to be hard So much talent coming through now Mateuz deadlift is going up! I think he will win the next few WSM comps, as long as he remains injury free The guy is a wonderful athlete

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | Kielz got injured. But Thor is way down in weight, probably trying to get his wife pregnant. Licis is also injured, but looks good in training, just depends on his pressing.

It's pure obvious he is 'off' and easy to tell Still a huge dude, but nothing like the behemoth that smashed the Arnold's

Member 4416, 1372 posts SQ 210, BP 175, DL 240625.0 kgs @ 122kgs UnEq | Even Thor is going to struggle. Not necessarily with the big lifts in isolation, but losing points along the way as comps go on. Stoltmans, Novikov, Licis, Rhino (as Eddie spelled his name) and others are stealing points in various events. This gives us more of a current Premier league standing, compared to back when there were the same suspected three that we'd always bet on.

Member 4496, 1446 posts SQ 240, BP 200, DL 300740.0 kgs @ 112kgs UnEq | Eddie hall said it in a recent training video with licis. You could have 3 finals with different events and there would be 3 different winners. Last year had only 1 static event and the moving events etc where not that heavy. For example the overhead medley, the log 1rm of thor and kiela isnt much different, but with a 160 log thor still seems to take a long time to get himself stable and press it. On all the overhead stuff kiela seems to have very good co-ordination and stability and just seems to throw up the lighter weights
