Great start though, glad JF Caron got through.

shocking low turn out , it seemed most of the "crowd" was made up of competitors and there pals

the keg toss at venice beach home of all the BB crowd home of the no strongman crowd!

yeah, Caron was awesome. no mean feat for any strongman to stop Poundstone from qualifying for the final. and considering Poundstone got the new dumbell world record,he must have been fully fit for this years w.s.m.
felt sorry for Jack, but like Terry says he's got time to come back better, and he's got more experience under his belt.
I understand why they dont want a big crowd, but I have always thought it is such a shame. It would be so good to see a huge crowd with a huge atmosphere;the athletes deserve it

Anyone else think that that truck looked too light for the strongest men in the world?

I'd really like to see what jack can do when not carrying an injury.

Last year he came 3rd in the group and his knee was f**ked? He couldn't move the carwalk/yoke

This year hamstring tendinitis. I know he's struggled with his shoulder too

Perhaps, but last year was too heavy on truck pull, thy didn't finish it. So perhaps a compensatory reaction.

30-40 seconds times? I dont think that's too light

30m though. its normally shorter than that isnt it? And most of the time was taken up with the first 10m.

The fire truck last year was heavy, but isnt that the idea?

I do see your point. I'm not sure, I imagine getting the right weight truck on the right surface must be toiugh, at least z still won the event?

Z truck pull technique is amazing

Poundstone looked the best he has for wsm, unlucky as he was arrogant haha was balance on the stones more than strength

You see thats what I don't like about Poundstone. As much as I respect him for his ability I think his arrogance or the way he comes across as arrogant sometimes overshadows his performances. There is a fine line between self confidence and arrogance. Having said that his dumbell was awesome.

Point is simply, for the strongest men in the world, i would have expected a heavier item to pull. If this meant finding somewhere with level ground then so be it?

Yeah, Z looked really up for it this time round.
