I think if Viking or db was in the final, Terry would fare better than log.

martinb said:Realistically, without the injury, Terry could have got 3rd

but with a slightly different rub of the green, he could have won it

Next year, fully fit, with maybe a rep OH event, he would be there or there abouts

So would Thor

I now question whether Jenkins has the athletic ability, he might just be an Arnolds man?

I think Z and Lalas showed what is needed to win WSM, consistency

But if Z had performed how you would expect on the yoke, he would have won it fairly comfortably

I don't think Jenkins was 100% tbh

Last years wsm, he beat loz at frame and yoke! He also won loading!

He didn't look like he could do that this year.

I was surprised about the yoke results. I would've predicted both terry and z in the top 3 for that event. Radz seemed to do a lot better in the final than in the heats too.

I thought the 4 way set up was ace though. That's one of the things I love about wsm, the race at the beginning with half the field in each run.

Same here, I knew to be right in the mix with winning I had to perform on my better events, the yoke didn't go to plan. I'm not making excuses as it happens sometimes but I had been throwing up all night from food poisoning the night before the final started. I felt very drained.

I felt I prepped well and if things had gone slightly differently I would have had a good chance. I know I was capable of winning just wasn't to be.

Terry you still performed awesome. That final was crazy and i do believe all of you guys were in better shape this year, than previous winners from a few years back. The sport has evolved alot recently imo. Injury free who knows were you would of finished.

We'll never know Happy easy to say what if but injuries happen and I came 7th. Apart from having to see myself on tv I thought it was a great final.

7th after 3 and less than a half events injury aside you must have been happy with your performance.

If you could improve the log abit and make sure you win the yoke, you would be very hard to beat. Anyway train hard and see what happens

Just happy with the prep and felt I did almost everything right before (apart from not quitting smoking which I now have). Tbh I just see it as another failed attempt at winning

I felt good for at least 185 going into wsm, I guess lack of sleep and dehydration from the sickness wouldn't have helped, also had to do the 170 twice as confusingly for everyone Colin disallowed my first lift. Again just bad luck but it can't be helped

nice to hear you've quit smoking! This'll no doubt make you even more difficult to beat in events like the truck pull! Watching last night I thought it'd be impossible to go as fast as you did as it was! Eek Eek

Was annoying when Dickinson said I had the advantage of bw, Thor and Brian massively outweighed me and z and Jenkins are pretty much the same weight. I was surprised my heart rate was so low, only about 180 at the finish

I wondered about that, does bodyweight make a massive difference there relative to the rest of the guys? Since you're all still only a fraction of what the truck weighs Confused
