Your right dannyboy, Terry all the way, could be his year. If he gets first on lorry pull and yoke,top 2 in deadlift, finishes at least top 3 or four in the rest,he will stand great chance. Going be a tough final. Nobody will dominate and win by more than 2 or 3 points imo

'I have been receiving many inquiries regarding my absence at the 2013 World's Strongest Man competition. After my bicep tear in March at the Arnold classic I was unable to return to heavy training until July, leaving little time to prepare for the title I so badly desire. It is not my goal to merely compete at Worlds Strongest Man, its my desire to win Worlds Strongest Man. In light of these circumstances I have decided to focus on next years competition and allow myself time to fully recover from all of my injuries. I wish all of the competitors this year a safe and healthy competition!! I appreciate the support you have all shown me!'

Thor is a beast,be surprised if him or lalas don't win wsm in the near future. f**king talent of this sport is getting unreal. Look at the strength of some the guys on here who are entering local competitions,shows you how far strongman has come the last 10 or 15 years.Great for the fans to watch!

It's pretty mental, nowadays if you can deadlift 300kg in the opens you have weak event at regional level, back then you had a weak event at world level.

Z is on 31 points after deadlift, Terry on 26.5...even if Terry wins rocklift and powerstairs(unlikely) he gets 46.5..Z would then of got 8 points in both events leaving him on 47 points.

Food poisoning on day1 of final and a torn bicep on day 2. I would have had a shot last year. Wasnt to be and I wasnt the best guy on the day but please stop making out you know everything. Some guys here know I had food poisoning hence their opinions, you didnt know that cause I didnt b**ch about it. Also id have had a chance of being quickest on loading (natural stones) and power stairs like I was in 2010

Saw your wife posted up a photo of mishas bruise on his triceps, will he just be making up the numbers with that injury?

And is Jenkins feeling good enough to be in the mix? (Or maybe he could answer that as I see him vviewing this thread?)

It was on 70's big on Facebook copied from elsewhere, but it said torn and there is fair bit of bruising

i think any one of them can take the title. the dark horse is Jenkins, but if you look at the events this is how i think it could go

Frame carry - Jenkins, Shaw, Thor,
Truck pull - Terry, Thor, Jenkins
Yoke - Terry, Jenkins, Shaw
Max DL - Terry, Shaw, Z
DB Medley - Lalas, Z, Jenkins
Stones - Thor, Shaw, Terry

but it will be what it will be.
