End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | After Shaw had 'perfect' events for him last year and didn't come close to winning, I don't think it will happen this year. His weight loss will mean his static strength will be down and he will still be slow on the medley. But yes, he will probably win keg toss. Novikov will probably win...even after missing a few weeks of training, he still has months to make up for it and he wasn't injured. Everything will click together in his final month of prep. I want Pritchett or Caron to win. | ||

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | Wouldn't surprise me if Bobby Thompson won both static events. I think Evan Singleton will have a bigger impact as well. Too many athletes taking points from Shaw. | ||

For log: Graham Hicks Luke S Bobby Thompson Robert Oberst Trey Mitchel Tom S All potentially stronger. Novikov, JF, Pritchett unlikely to lose to him on log too. You can’t drop that many points and come first unless you dominate everything else, which he’ll struggle to do. It’s strange, for about 2.5 years it was abundantly clear who the top 3 in the world were. Then one retired and two got injured. Now two WSMs in a row that are very hard to call. Like a true nerd, I’m going to go away and do some calculations then come up with my prediction! | ||
