Group 3 possibly most interesting. Tom will probably win the group but.... if Novikov comes second we could have a repeat of last year where heís miles ahead of Trey in third places but loses on the head to head stones. Alternatively Tom comes in second and the winner has to load the stone 15+ times... unless theyíve modified the rules this time?

I don't think it matters which way the group goes, 1 way or another there's a monster stone marathon coming!

Yep, and whoever the victor is, they will be absolutely f**ked heading into the final.

While most of the top guys try and cruise into the final by being smart, and doing just what they need, it will certainly pays to try and win the group outright and maybe move into 2nd gear instead of just coasting.

Using a bit more gas to win will surely be wiser than using lots of gas to win the stones.

With Last Man Standing rule in stones: will stone specialists, like Tom Stoltman, be confident to do go ďall outĒ on stones Friday and go easier today and Thursdays events? Does no.1 in points from today tomorrow skip stones?

The winner of the group doesnít have to do stones.

Iím not sure Tom can relax. Itís not completely obvious to me he beats Trey in the stone off. At least he shouldnít relax and assume heíll win that easily. He really should try and win the group.

In the other groups, Iím not so sure.

From memory yes... If you're 1st in the group heading into stones, you don't lift at all. I think that is right if someone can confirm.

I think the main complaint from people was that suddenly a lower placed athlete can suddenly leapfrog a higher placed one... But that can happen anyway in normal stones to a certain degree if someone messes up etc.

It was made to create drama on TV though from memory.

That won't suit Terry. He has a problem with his right shoulder.

First warning for Novikov and he hasnít even got his Straps on. There is another video on that channel of the monster truck parts. The meadley a wheel, a coupling hub, a differential, the engine block. Terry seems to struggle with the differential here https://m.youtube.com/watch?ab_channel=TerryandKate&v=RseIxD06avs.
I got the pay Facebook and they gave some event details.
The Deadlift heat is 345kg 1&1/4 thick bar at 8&1/2 high. No whip. 60secs for reps. Itís the circus black barrel ends and wind could really effect reps.
Brice was speculating about a competition record of 440kg for final 18Ē deadlift for Bishop, Shaw and Prichard if they qualify. Itís the silver waggon wheel with 40kg bar and 4*45kg each side starting weight for 400kg total.
They are doing 6 stones in final 140-210kg. Thatís 1 extra on last year (140kg).
Heat stones are dependent on storm. 150 if itís a hurricane, 160 storm 180 if itís sunny. They will be Thursday to give people Friday off subject to storm.
For the double dumbbell some of the guys can clean the two from the floor overhead from between their legs. They start at 50kg/110lbs for the lightest and have a normal handle. After doing the four double dumbbells itís the monster one hand one for reps over 60-90 secs depending on weather.
Itís the 160kg farmers for distance in the heats.
They were saying the weight catches the wind in squat. Coupled with the thick wet bar itís could slip. Not a footing issue, except harder to dump a squat.

Double DB is a switch up, that gives the viewer something 'new' to see. It's also a good way to test overall pressing strength too.
