Thuis was a good hard workout where top sets were hard but not quite on the limit. Hoping to put up all Squat sets by 5kg next week for the last week of this block. On deadlifts I had grip problems with my left hand on the last rep of the last 2 sets. (90.7)

Not bad after a really bad couple of night's sleep. Pleased to make 6 reps on the final set@90. DB presses were a bit weak, and general tiredness did catch up with me. (90.7)

There are days when you are tired and don't really want to train. This was one of those days. Just had to push through it. Nothing felt especially fluent, in particular not the top single on deads. But got it done. Still 1 week left of the block. Will cut volume right back I think (90.3)

This was a session with mixed success. Squat did not feel particularly good in warm-up, and the set@160 took absolutely everything. Therefore decided not to even try a fatigued single@175. Back offs were much lighter than I originally intended. Paused deads I was only going for 1 set, which was was hard-ish. (90.5)

I might do the masters classic at the end of June, depending on how my lifting is going. I've reached the stage now where unless my training is going well, I really don't see the point of competing.

Pretty reasonable session in the circumstances. Still getting over the cold and for some reason my insides were feeling dodgy. Light squats felt OK. Deadlift I had to dig deep but I got tge reps, though my right hamstring felt like it had a bit of cramp on the top set. I'll have to watch that. (90.5)

I get you. I didn't compete in 2024 and thought I may never compete again. But I'm trying to hang on to my form as I'm M4 next year. Happy

Competing at M4 is an excellent goal. I see no reason you shouldn't achieve it. 🙂
