Here's the story:

8 days ago I torn 1 callus doing farmer's walks. Cut off the dead skin and washed the wound. 5 days later it looked pretty much healed, so I did my deadlift session and it opened again.

For my deadlifting session in 4 days time should I:

a) Not deadlift
b) Deadlift without straps as normal
c) Deadlift with straps as this might stop the callus reopening?

This happened to me and i used a strap only on the torn callus hand. Take your time and let it heal. In future make sure you cake your hands in chalk Cool

Thanks for the Replies. Think I'm going to tape it up and use straps and chalk to make Certain it doesn't tear again

was that on the same evil farmers that killed my hand? i cut the excess skin off let it heal a couple of days then just made sure i had a really secure hook grip so the bar didnt slip or rub against it

Moisturise and wear gloves. Then there'll be no callouses to rip off.
