I thought Joplin choked on a sandwich? Member 616, 8404 posts SQ 180, BP 130, DL 220530.0 kgs @ 78.8kgs UnEq | To me it's just renaming the inters class and making a fun comp for light opens If Ben is behind it it'll be a success and I think that it would only be an asset

Your living your dream buddy, never forget that! Member 1873, 923 posts SQ 260, BP 165, DL 335760.0 kgs @ 118kgs UnEq | I agree mainly for 2 reasons. 1. Like Ryan said would give u105's a stepping stone if they wanted to go to open weight. 2. Just like some u80's who would never want to be at u105. Some u105's may want to compete at a heavier weight but not feel like they have to weigh 140kg+ to be competitive (I am fully aware there are exceptions). You would have the huge strength from the open comps and the speed and rep endurance etc from the lighter weight categories. It defiantly sounds exciting!

I do - even though I'm a complete hypocrite!!! Although I'm not decided on the impact to the u105's if you had the u120 categroy. On the one hand it would leave the comp more open to the 'smaller' u105s but on the other hand it may draw some of the best athletes away form it!!!

wales Member 1058, 5361 posts SQ 220, BP 140, DL 294654.0 kgs @ 106kgs UnEq | Sounds like a good idea to me, I'd definitely compete in a u120 comp, and I think it'll bridge the gap between 105's and opens perfectly.

I don't think this is the case at all - granted shaw and terry were massive this year, but big z is 'only 6'2 and loz is as well and they both have a very good chance of winning it!
