He recommends to replace your main squat day with that, looks decent enough but I think the mk1 squat is best to build squat, and on his routine you don't standard squat much at all as overall tonnage, and max squats are correlated with total tonnage; even more so for drug free lifters.

An explosive squat will absolutely build an explosive squat, whereas a box jump might build an explosive squat.

He's obviously a top notch lifter giving free routines, only way to know for sure is to try it for yourself.

I was intending to do a 'dynamic day' today on squats so worked up to 80% for triple as suggested and did some paused reps.

replaced some of the jumping for hang cleans and quite enjoyed it.

I think I will just keep doing squats or front squats on max days to the 5/3/2/1 formula
