Dont know how many people have seen or used the slingshot but this looks like a bit of a rip off?! Even the names practically the same!

Does look like a total copy. I guess they will claim their material is better or whatever but the concept is a copy. Although there are those who claim that the slingshot wasnt Mark Bells idea anyway, he copied it from someone else.

In saying that though its one of those things, loads of companies make knee wraps that are virtually identical in design, just different materials, and Ive not heard them called a rip off.

So is this thing basically a small bench shirt or what?

Yeh i suppose thinking about it the first to make a bench shirt etc would have been copied and so on. Think it seemed worse because of the name too. I also saw this thing on liftinglarge the other day which is around the same kind of idea. Looks a bit rubbish compared to the metals and the slingshot though ha

We considered initially selling the slingshots, and then having our own made (could call them shot-slings or something Happy). We decided against both.

As far as we were lead to believe there was no trademark/patent issues with them, at least outwith the U.S.

If there's demand, we'll get them made, and they'll be cheaper than other suppliers.

Just saw the Titan one as well, didn't realise they had one too. Hopefully Mark will have patented it, or had one pending, and can go legal on Titan's ass!

Ive been thinking of getting a slingshot as i can imagine it being a good bit of kit for hammering the triceps whilst taking some of the strain off th shoulders.

And Wylie all of these things just rebound a little out of the bottom of dips pushups and benching which means its a bit like a reverse band bench (easier at the bottom, harder at the top)

Cheers I gotcha now. Dunno if I'd personally use one but I can see how it'd help chaps with a lockout problem.

My brother has been training with one, he has had really bad problems with his elbows while benching for quite a while and said this problem goes away while wearing the slingshot.

Other than training around injury I think the slingshot is like a knee wrap for the upper body. Adds kilos to your lift but not as much as a bench shirt.
