So... how was it in your area?

I had a little 'incident' with a hedge on a snowy country lane in Mawdesley whilst driving up to the motorway... lost about 12 inches of my boy racer front spoiler... gutted Wink Roll-Eyes

Was in Fleetwood/Blackpool during the day and they hardly had a drop!

About 8 or 9 inches here so far. Everyone in my house has been off work today (all buses and trains have been suspended all day) and they've already shut mine for tomorrow.

i slid into some stupid woman who crashed on the roundabout and decided to leave it parked up on the roundabout

was doing about 1 mph, was quite funny lol

pulled up out the way, went to have a chat, and as i was talking to her (she was hot) 5 cars spun out on the roundabout LOOL

stupid f**king public transport system decided that they didn't want to work.....

fair enough, but then i woulda thought the local council, seeing as they get paid with out taxes woulda pulled the heads outta their arses and put grit/salt on the main roads so that they would be okay...

luckily the roads were okay later in the day.....no thanks to them

though when i lived in the States we had this every Winter and f**k all closed, guess it's what you're used to!

rant overGrin

In Scotland we can actually keep living normally and not have everything fall apart whenever we get a little snow! Grin

there has been hardly any snow in manchester, maybe couple of inches max. From finnish perspective its funny how everything grinds to a halt, but I am used to it by now.

Loads of folk didnt come to work today, meetings cancelled etc. Love it!

To be fair, its the worst snow for 20 years in London. If it happens that infrequently (and it obviously does) then its not really a surprise that it has such an effect.

To get around round here today you needed snow chains. Watching cars slide down hills backwards was quite amusing though.

Snowing all day in Northampton and still snowing now.

I drove 70 miles to Chesham for a meeting this morning only to be told when I got there that the guy I was meeting had not made it in due to the snow - because he lived 25 miles away in Luton! A place I drove past on my way to Chesham! If he'd have said I could have given him a lift.

been snowing all day in buckinghamshire, they closed all the schools which was great as it gave me the opportunity to rant on about how when I was a kid we had snow all the time and they never closed the schools,it was great watching my kids eyes glaze over!

I'm amazed ,I always thought the general rule of thumb was if you were given any opportunity to leave luton,no matter what the weather, you grabbed it with both hands!
