H, I confess. There is some good stuff on T-Nation, but a lot of s**te too - all about reading between the lines (and not doing slow negatives Tongue).

30th July, Physio, Cosgroves Atherton

Hamstring is nearly sorted, not much scar tissue around there now. Went a lot higher up the groin today and found a very sore spot right on the tendon, very hard spot for the physio to get to properly but we've found a new position which seems to be working. Lat is still a mess, big clumps of scar tissue in there.

Making some progress now, although it will still be a good few more sessions.

Very good news. I shall not ask what positions you and your physio like to do together, i think that is best kept private.

very hard spot for the physio to get to properly but we've found a new position which seems to be working

The groin and hip were due to foolishly playing cricket (and bowling) the day before my competition, my body didn't react too well to the extra 25 or so kilos that I'd put on since the last time I played!!

The lat just came on again after the competition, it's been a problem I've had since the start of this year. The hamstring I think I did moving a mattress up two flights of stairs a month or two ago.

Unfortunately when you get one or two injuries other body parts start compensating and you start getting injured everywhere... that's why it's best to get them treated straight away to stay fit, I should have booked into the physio straight away after the comp but it can seem expensive so it's easy to con yourself into thinking the niggles will just subside. Can't put a price on good health though, you only get one body look after it well!

Moved my grip in about an inch, it wasn't that wide before either but I just can't seem to control weights with wider grip at the minute - might well be due to not having any lats at the moment but I feel a lot more solid with it in a bit more.

Got 'the phone call' [see General Bulls**t - Downtime] from Joni midway through these, so there was a good 10-15 minute rest in between while I instructed my Dad through the use of FTP to shut the site down! Needless to say the rest of the workout went very quick because I was pissed off and needed to get on a computer.

Forgot to mention, finally managed to order a sled yesterday, so should have it sometime next week. Sure cardio-Boar will fancy a play with at Adders. Grin
