Norris got redlighted.
2 reds for depth.

And where are the img-tags?

Not the best angle to judge depth from, with bodies in the way. From what I could see didn't look a clear case of the hip crease below top of knee.

Speaking as a referee, we do our best and call it as we see it without fear or favour. From what I could see of that squat, it looked a little high. I would have red-lighted that.

Speaking as a lifter, there is no point whatsoever in disagreeing with any decision of any referee, and in my lifting career I can say, hand on heart, that I have always been very fairly dealt with.

That is a ridiculous video to enter into evidence for any discussion about squat depth.

I was thinking the fame to be honest, you can't see a great deal from it - certainly not enough top judge depth.

The kid is incredibly strong regardless

Candito has a video up on YouTube. I know they say you can never say judge from the front, but it looked in to me for sure.

I don't post videos on here but if that squat isn't in then neither are a good 75 percent of the squat videos on here.

It wasn't Tom Martin deep, but in my opinion looked good.

It's not Tom Martin deep, but it's far from being Donnie Thompson high.

In the age of the camera phone, surely someone would've posted a video from a better angle if it was to depth?

...... kinda like the way there's very few ghost videos. Oh and going by the mark bell power cast he's natural too

At the risk of being controversial I would say that 75% of the squat vids posted on here probably aren't clearly and unequivocably "IPF deep" based on the submitted evidence.

If you think you can judge depth from that, pretty sure you're part of the problem.

You posting it here makes it your issue.

Best thing you can do is not cheat in training. Some can train a bit high and nail depth in comp.

Unfortunately most will follow bad habits when the bar feels heavy.

Basically get your ass right down and the only reason you fail, is the weights too heavy.

I'm not a good lifter but In my opinion, I don't think a lifter should fail because of depth and similar with pause on bench. If you compete the way you train, you will get by.

In my last bench comp, they were complaining about long pauses. I never noticed because I was told to train with a good pause.

Everyone knows the I.P F are very strict. Obviously other feds are more lenient. However if you get 3 white lights and claim a record, then people knows it is legit with the Ipf.

From the Instagram video, it was borderline.
Could have been just in or just out, over to the actual judges for that call.

It would be interesting to see his two previous attempts as well to compare / contrast
