Boar Machine, pretty decent 500's to start a comeback.

I had a quick look on the net for instances of gym users getting mashed it seems guys benching alone get mashed more often than those squatting. It made me think I should check the "spotters" on my power rack.Grin

someone next to me left his weights out and just f**ked opff to the chest press machine !!! what kind of f**king loser does this ?

OH....and tyhe entire time i was squatting next to me ...he did just 1 of the most awful reps i have ever ever seen , just 1 terrible rep in 15 minutes !!!

  • Lat pull down x 4
  • hyperextentons x 4
  • single dumbell shoulder press x 4
  • chin ups x 2



enjoyable session , been about 3 weeks doing 3 sessions a week.

i get the impression that all this work i am doing involving mynback is a bit like Uri Gellar rubbing a spoon ...... my back was showing signs of being grumpy and i dont want it to snapp ,so i had a day off rowing yesterday.

i realise i am lifting even less that fat spaznet Edwardo (who is nortoriously fat and weak) but its been a long while and if i can get back to repping 100+ for squats i will be ok with that

didnt realise i was bald back there ....thought i had a ponytail

Way back when I was foolish i thought I would like my own gym.

Then I saw how some Barry chuslewits treat the equipment/toilets etc and realised that I would probably have to ban most of the

Dumbkoffs.

IN pork pie town whenI was a kid there was a weights room at the leisure centre with some wanky old kit you had to be 18 to use it. I remember standing outside and listening to the clanks and grunts and wanting desperately to go in and make grunts and clanks of my own.

Now pork pie town has

Panic gym crossfit
The Steelyard (opened by an old training partner)
Bodyworx
Goodlife
and 2 smaller studio gyms/PT parlours.

even failty small Leyland has loads !! you have to be keep your social media profile big to make a smaller gym work , ther one i go to is a massive chain (all techniogym equiipment) and its very nice.

first off ...I should have done the Blue trail , the red 8 was savage , but i really enjoyed it , fell off over the handlebars but thankfully didnt break anything except my Gopro mount.

next time i will do the blue route twice

very very good trails , Gisburn forest is a thing of beauty.

Looks like a great route and a bit of a scary fall!

Stick with the weights, Jon. You’ve been on and off them for years. I think you’ll surprise yourself what you could build back up to with some consistency.

I think my wheel got wedged .... I did get better as the ride progressed , also noticed i may have been better with less air in the tyres possibly.


I paid for a full year upfront at the gym and i fully intend on not missing a single session

did he leave some bog roll behind as well as all his weights? i hated training at a commercial gymn because of the lack of putting weights away , some people just left them scattered everywhere ! i do miss the womens arses in lycra though

yea Ned , the bog roll is used to wipe down the kit after use .... In all my years of being in and out of many gyms , I would never leave a deadlift bar out like that !!

did another MTB race last week ...its was very very tough (in a quarry) my HR maxed out at 182 , not had it over 174 for yonkers .... for annoying reasons rowing hurts my lower back ... so i am running to gain cardio fitness

since joining the gym i have been going 3 times a week and will continue to do so.

not much to say really ... 3 more races in the MTB series and then a MTB marathon in october

did a junior parkrun with Emma this morning
