Walk your talk Member 5, 25555 posts Administrator | My darling Wayne , Sadly this is the pattern all my strength training seems to have taken over the last couple of years. Earlier today I announced my intention to the wife and youngest child that I will be joining the gym when it re-opens, It is only a few 100 meters from my house , So i have no excuses left. please keep praying for my weak musculoskeletal system, yours forever J

As soon as i set off I knew in my porcine heart of hearts that I would be happy with sub 7:25 ..... i am very pleased to have completed the row , I have never quit but at 1000m I had the superb idea to stop , but didnt and carried on 100m at a time. new season at the start of may , so this is another decent marker on the way to sub 7. https://i.ibb.co/hyDTWpL/seasons-best-2km-7-23-5.jpg

old age traveller Member 332, 7863 posts | Well done, a little too fast out the blocks perhaps? The temptation to "handle down" is always lingering on a tough row, congratulations on resisting it. Have you seen the USA kid Isiah Harrison? 5.53 at 16years of age 6'9''. Forget lightweight there should be an under 5'7'' class.

Walk your talk Member 5, 25555 posts Administrator | Post Edited: 12.04.2020 @ 16:26 PM by Boar will take a look at the young beastA guy who used to work at ours was 7 foot tall , but he was so unathletic - such a waste of many inches I set off at 7:20 pace, it was when my pace drifted over 1:50 that i made a recalculation of my goal once I get in the 200's i start counting down the strokes, I knew I was at my limit when even 'going for it' in the last 300 didnt bring my final 500 time down into the 1:40's , so on we go !! now I am old and weedy , im not really into videos but i did it anyway plus my rubiks cube solve

reading up on rowing and stuff, it seems getting longer rows in helps, rather than smashing out intervals all the time. start with 30 mins @ 80% max heart rate and try to work up to possibly 1 hour or 2 x 30 work was BUSY B-U-S-Y NEWSFLASH people like their drugs NEWSFLASH

I haven't timed myself recently, but I used to hover around the upper 30s for the most part. Ridiculously, I can't remember what my PB was. At the moment I'm mostly playing with shape mods, with just the occasional 4x4 and 5x5 to keep my hand in.

Walk your talk Member 5, 25555 posts Administrator | i'm into to the low 40's , but im pretty happy just being able to do it in under 1 minute , I have lots of the others to tinker with but always return to the simple 3x3 , especially my outrageously expensive GAN356X

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22018 posts | I couldn't solve one face of a 'cube' if my life depended on it. Useless at them. I enjoyed watching your forearm muscles in action

Walk your talk Member 5, 25555 posts Administrator | i enjoy cubing but (for me) its not worth the extra effort to get down to 20 seconds and below
running on zwift is slightly less boring than just running on the treadmill, I can still feel my extra 'heft' while running

I do four-look last layer and cannot be bothered to move to two-look. Though the real thing that slows me down is terrible lookahead and recognition.

The ride included box hill, which was a bit of a pain. https://i.ibb.co/ZNbmf0c/leg-1.jpg https://i.ibb.co/HTf3CP4/leg-2.jpg https://i.ibb.co/0fJ8582/leg-3.jpg
