After a discussion in another thread, thought id start a thread about it.

I suffer from it a lot.

Who else suffers?

What are the best methods for dealing with it and how do you deal with it?

Thoughts please

I get some inflammation under my left kneecap from time to time. It used to be bad until I saw a physio about 5 years ago. Now it occurs for a few days at a time a couple of times a year. Although at the moment it's been a bit dodgy for a few weeks. I take diclofenac sometimes. Thats all.

Used to get sore knees a lot after squatting 3 times a week. This continued for a long time.

Box squats cured it.

As you know mate I have patella tendonitis in my left knee, Pascal confiermed it for me last night

He recommends anti-inflams, icing ater training, and unfortunately, that dreaded word.....REST!

Anti-inflams - Work, but probably pickling my organs and ruining my stomach lining.

Rest - f**k that. Tried it for 8 weeks for elbows, but just came back again.

Ice - Works for the time that the area is actually cold, then stops.

Robbo are you just icing the inflammed body part for a one off period after training?

For inflammation i was always told to ice for 10mins on 10mins off for 3 sets (1hour) Always did the trick for me in the past.

Ice and heat. 20 mins apart. Lightly compressed and raised during icing stage. Anti inflams as and when. Furious masturbation. Doesn't help, but feels good.

Yes. Just lounge around on the sofa with it there for a long period of time.

Will try that method! Cheers!
