feeling like my nutrition needs a bit of a boost somehow, doing a bit of research and wondering whether or not to try taurine. just was wondering if anybody has much experience good or bad, it seems quite cheap and easy to use pre workout or before bed. any thoughts?

Ive got some, came with some other stuff. Not that exciting I dont think.

Tyrosine is good though and cheap also. I find its like caffiene but I can sleep after (I train quite late)

Only time I have heard of people using it on its own is when there on the special sauce as it apparently stops back pump

I always use it. I find that it really helps with focus, in and out of the gym.

Tryosine helps concentrations. Taurine, that's not is function? Is it? I know it can increase blood pressure and is an important AA for the heart function (asdie from supplementation). Don't know to much beyond that other than my boss used to think it had no ergogenic effect?

Taurine is a neurotransmitter, helps with mood(and therefore concentration), it is used within muscles and many other things.

For gym purposes, you will likely find tyrosine to be more beneficial, as it can work like a stimulant but without the negatives.
