So,prep for brits was up & down at first as I hadnít made my mind up wether or not to do it....about 3 weeks out I decided to commit....Felt strong in the build up..Worked hard on conditioning but had one problem!!! I just couldnít keep my weight down.....

Since euros I just went from 94-99kg in a space of 2 weeks...Tried water tabs,more water and cleaning up diet to no avail.....A week out I was 98.7kg so I was in for the biggest cut to date!!

Started water loading and tbf,if flew off and by Saturday I was 93.7....Hit a few hit baths and kept pissing and got to 91.3kg comfortably!! Just to be safe,I jumped back in a hot bath and got to 90.6kg ....Woke update 89.8kg !

After weigh in,got fluids in,food etc etc but just didnít feel right! Thought by 1-2 events in Iv be fine,not to be..

1- max log
Wasnít expecting much but on the day I was aiming for more confident lifter over a a few lads so I went 100/120/125 and failed 130!! 130 would of got me 3rd..... ended up joint 4th

2- 320 yoke 15+15m
Nothing to say really...one of my better events but I ended up 7th...no power at all!!

3-145kg keg max distance
This was a banker for me but I totally f**ked it up..walked the first 15m comfortable and as I turned my foot didnít go over the line and had to walk back with it by a few steps...Still had more in the tank but my head went!!! Not taking anything from the lads but I would of won this and just needed 2 full lengths..4th

4- 18Ē deadlift 320kg
Was a actually looking for to this as the set up is perfect for me..16 reps which I wasnít expecting!! Was 4th in this event and it gave me a boost in mood/confidence...Thought right ,head on it..

5- Sack throw 10-12-15-18-21kg
Was sure in this one..Trained it a few times and got upto 15kg over the line a few times in training .... got the first 3 in a fairly quick time but failed the 4th 3 times and lost power...second attempt it went over but I crossed the line with my foot!! 5th here I think

6- 60-60 tyres - 90/100 stones 150duck walk
Love medleys and put some graft in...for the tyres but had a slip on the 90 stone ( gloves ) gloves off and got it.lapped the 100kg stone but it slipped!! Tried again and it slipped...gave up then...mixture of Ďpissed off and wasnít guna get me anywhere Ď last place!!!

Was 7th over all and my worse performance at bits to date!! It is what it is and I know where things went wrong...the weight cut effected more than I thought it would...Prep could of gone a little better as well....

Few weeks back off training and getting the mojo back then Iíll start some programming ready for next year...Iv got 1 more year in me
