Not sure if this extremely quiet year warrants an awards thread, but has anyone got anything to say?

I thought it was all about the ads revenue on these sites. Didnít think there was much value in selling them as a business. Having said that, James and whoever else runs MuscleTalk, must now be seriously loaded.

Muscle talk as a forum seems much quieter than it was but james has always seemed like a driven buisnessman and he will have worked every angle

sugden would have made a few bob when the banner at the top had payed adverts , nowerdays its the clickthrough type , there must have been a point where rob could have sold it for decent coin , it was the number 1 strength site in the country , the day of the forum has passed it seems

I think thatís true Boar (forums having had their best days), but I hope they will always have a place. Forums were the first type of social media and they have obviously now been overtaken by social networks. Social networks themselves are changing too though.

Web forums definitely weren't the first - Usenet was old before the web was invented, let alone got interactive - but it does seem that their time has similarly passed.

Do any of you masters age geeks remember Prestel (typically accessed from a BBC micro model B) it had something akin to forum in the early 80s and in glorious teletext Ďmode 7í graphics. Beat that, reddit

This year, I would like to thank the admins for keeping the site running.

Do you get advert money per click? If so, I could happily click a few hundred times to keep money coming in to the site.

Thanks. I have no idea how and whether Rob generates income. The other admins are volunteers and not remunerated in any way.
