hardcheese | Strongman heights | 05-02-2016 @ 14:21
level 4 bioCheese Member 5265, 82 posts | I always thought Savickas was noticeably taller than Hall but most places on the internet seem to list them both at 6'3 are the listing incorrect or am I mistaken about their heights?

Average hamstring at best Member 4663, 588 posts | I've always understood Hall to be 6'3" he just looks short because of his frame and short arms. I thought z was 6'4" but what difference does an inch make.....haha

my buttocks hurt Member 337, 2119 posts SQ 300, BP 140, DL 305745.0 kgs @ 125kgs Eq | I think the term 'strongman heights' is sometimes used in a pejorative sense. I once stood in a line up for competition where every competitor (myself included) had stated they were 6ft+, much to the amusement of the crowd, who could see that it patently wasn't the case. I will however say that I'm pretty sure that Ed is genuinely 6ft 3. He might just look shorted as he becomes increasingly cubic. Someone here said 180kg recently I think?

what is everyone's fran time? Member 3986, 10452 posts SQ 340, BP 200, DL 400940.0 kgs @ 129kgs Eq | Being short as f**k myself I find it funny when I see guys that call themselves 5"11 or even 6' or 6"1 that are shorter than me

level 4 bioCheese Member 5265, 82 posts | It used to really annoy me when they had that Giant Rugby player presenting Strongest Man, one of the cool things is how freakish big the competitors look, and though they may be more muscular you lose the perspective of how big these guys are when they re interviewed by someone who towers them.

AKA the great reset Member 4056, 5207 posts | The wwe are the worst for heights. I stood next to the 6'6 Batista. He had about 3 inches on me at the most. I am 6.

level 4 bioCheese Member 5265, 82 posts | Yes they always seem to add a few inches and exaggerate the weight. Warlord was always my favourite when I used to watch he had some build, always wondered if his bench press on the show(if anyone remembers it) was genuine.

403 forbidden message Member 160, 5121 posts SQ 190, BP 137.5, DL 225552.5 kgs @ 86kgs UnEq | I kept on thinking Hall was short. I met him at a seminar I hosted, but he's so wide that I STILL think he's the same height as me. I'm 5ft11, he's definitely over 6ft. 6ft2 or 3 sounds about right.

Whilst not that tall he is a pretty stacked individuals and that can somewhat detract from the massive size of the competitors. They should get Peewee Herman to present WSM!

level 4 bioCheese Member 5265, 82 posts | Yes that's true, and even when they have had female interviewers in recent years they have usually been absurdly tall.

He's also quite broad for a "regular" dude. I love it though... They should state "Billed height" like WWE. At the end of the day, the public want freaks for strongman. I think they should all be forced to wear heal raisers for an extra inch or two.

Lost his pen, then found his pen. #phew Member 4899, 2956 posts | Strongman weights are also a bit on the skew, or at least they used to be - you would often see noticeable differences in weight between competitions not always be reflected in their announced "stats". Happily we rarely seem to be subjected to Commentators mentioning that a particular strongman has "arms the size of most people's legs" or that two strongmen "weigh about the same as a Rugby front row" these days.
