One of those 'boredom' threads.

What's the best 'feat of strength' that you've seen at the gym/establishment where you train?

I'll start. I've been training at a 'commercial' gym for the last couple of months so I've not seen too many noteworthy lifts. However, I saw a 'skinny lad' deadlifting 200kg for a single. After complimenting the lift, I asked him his weight (67kg, apparantly). He said he hadn't competed in PL so I suggested that he should, at least, look into it.

I've literally not seen one other decent/good lift since joining.

Edit: There was a spelling mistake.Roll-Eyes

A lad in our gym pulls 300kgs in Nike air max, no chalk or belt. Seen him rep 180 for fun on the bench too.

I see many strong lifts where I train one thing that sticks in my head is 320 x 5 reps raw squat. I had the plesure of spotting.

Well other than Jnr and Shaun who I train with I have to say I've not seen one single lift that has impressed me at my local gym.

Maybe some wide grip chins for decent reps at a push.

I run our the school Gym were I work and the kids that train in there with me impress me constantly.

17 year old lad benching 141 was pretty sweet. 16 year old 80kg lad pulling 221 as well, fought it hard. Also had minibig1 in there once and watched him pull the ugliest 250kg SNATCH GRIP deadlift I've ever seen.

Saw a guy bench 180kg unracking it himself, that was impressive,
140kg push press by my training partner, haven't yet seen a squat or deadlift
in person that's really impressed me.

Probably some of the crazy high rep stuff some of the decent bodybuilders at my gym do like Andy who is BNBF middleweight champion and squats 160kg for about 15 reps at under 90kg bodyweight and under 10 percent bodyfat.

Also ben66 off here squatting 160kg for 19 reps also at around 90kg bodyweight.

When Felix used to come to Adlington he came in one night (middle of winter) still in his work clothes after a days plastering, and within 20 minutes of touching his first weight he pulled a textbook 405kg deadlift, still in his trainers..

at my gym at home there's a bodybuilder who can rep 180 with ease. Apparently he's benched 220 odd.
