stephen9069 said:had my first two classes and wow iv got a lot of work to do it was certainly an eye opener.

I will hopefully start training again tomorrow but wont be jumping back onto my routine just yet im going to try and build a solid base to start from and hopefully maintain some consistency while studying.

Good stuff mate. Don't worry the learning curve is always steepest at the start. Most adults don't even try to learn after school and so forget what the learning process it like. Give it a few lessons and things will click.

Back to training tomorrow and back to some consistency now things have settled.

Will go back to my strength split that i previously started with a few minor changes to one or two exercises, mainly the ones that would hurt a few old injuries.

Back onto some sort of diet aswell things have got a little out of hand which is no good.

MONDAY - 01-OCTOBER-2018

CGBP

20kg x 15
70kg x 8
100kg x 4
100kg x 4
100kg x 4
100kg x 4

DB OHP

20kg x 10
20kg x 10
20kg x 10

DB PRESS

30kg x 8
30kg x 8
30kg x 8

PUSH UPS

BW x 8
BW x 8
BW x 8

Had to swap out dips and flyes as these really hurt my old bicep/shoulder injury. The press ups were surprisingly hard especially after all the other pressing, definitely a good way to finish a session.

I will run this training block for the next 3-4 weeks

Squats and deadlifts tomorrow, squats will be interesting will certainly be a shock to the system after having a couple weeks off yet again.

Good to have you back mate. How's the studying going? I've got an exam in December so I know exactly what its like.

It's good to see someone else doing push ups. They're a great choice for training economy, you get extra pressing volume plus some core work. Also I find then to be very joint friendly.

Are you doing them on a machine, don't know if it helps but Nails has done them with bands as a bit of support I tried them thought they were good.

That's good work mate.

Have you tried band pull through's? Anchor a band low down on your rack, walk out with it until you have the right tension then do pull through's. You can't go "heavy" but it's good for warm ups and adding volume. Should be much friendlier on your knee's and still hits your glutes and hams.

Still haven't trained since my first session back illness hit me hard and still struggling quite a bit with my stomach.

Im hoping to be able to go back to training next week but I think my aim will just to be able to get some consistency then after Christmas have another crack at my peaking routine and try get past the 4th week.
