Was such a well run comp and was awesome from start to finish, thanks Will. Also big thanks to all loaders, helpers, refs, scorers, crowd, was brilliant. Well done to Dan on the win, pushed you all day mate, if it wasn't for that stone I would of had you  Also, genuinely happy to beat legitimately beat Shane (by half a point). From day one it has been problem after problem right up until about 15mins before we kicked off. Although I could write an essay on them I don't want to dwell on any negatives. After going from thinking this was going to be one of the biggest turkeys of all time to being one of the comps I have most enjoyed running I can't be thinking about what didn't happen the way I wanted it to. First, I have to thank the guys who turned up and competed. I couldn't have picked a better bunch of lads to have a laugh with at a comp. you guys really did make the show. I'd rather have 6 who will come and give there all than 20 who couldn't care less. Although every guy there I count as super reliable I want to pick out Ed and Jamie who have been around right from when I started competing and promoting and have never let me down once. Secondly, I have to thank my team and the guys who came to load. With my knackered knee there was a lot more work for everyone else. Got to thank Simon, dan and will who put some serious graft in. I have met Dan once before and never met will before in real life and they worked their nuts off for me so I owe you one big time! All in all, a good day, good atmosphere and good after comp drinks. For me, just what it should be about. Earlier today I was ready to jack it all in but now maybe not. | ||
