I know this has probably been asked on here a hundred times, but was interested on which lift you guys prefer. I find it hard to seperate the two but if had to choose only one, I would probably stick with the deadlift.Maybe due to fact I'm stronger at it.

I much prefer Deadlifting. If I had the choice of a 300kg squat or 300kg Deadlift, I would choose Deadlift.

As a strongman it has to be Deadlift. Way more carry over

Like a trick answer though, as a 300kg squat (to depth) would definitely give you a 300kg dead if not significantly more.

erm no it wouldnt

we had a lifter who trained at our gym before my time and he apparently squat 280 and deadlifted 220

Both exercises are manly but the squat just edges the deadlift on man points.

Deadlift for me.Squats annoy me, I just can't seem to find a groove and I always find myself questioning my depth. It's hard to feel instantly happy at the end of a lift whereas with deads the feeling of exultation at the top of a PB pull is one of the great pleasures of training.
