Never tried the comp stuff, however the light is more than sticky enough, and relatively easy to remove.

Well what I've been taught to do is:

wrap your forearms with duct tape - make sure it fairly tight
get some tacky out of pot and just put it on forearms and hands (pretty sure this stuff doesn't need micrwaving)

hope that helps

Tried both, and find the light is better up here, as it works better in the cold it would seem.

My first try with spider tack didn't go well, and I thought it was rubbish, but when i tried it on stones what were not cold, wet and filthy it was great

Like most have said it depends on the temperature. Spider tacky is probably the easiest stuff I've used to get off.

The light stuff is perfect in cold weather as its a bit more pliable but anything over about 10 degrees (??? ie. warm?) the competition stuff comes into its own and is sticky as f**k!
