Ha ha! I'm not too sure what's been going on TBH. Bim is probably not far off the mark. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick it back up again when we're back to the normal routine.

I set the monitor for individual pieces, but the HRs seem to be final HRs. Weird.

I decided to sprint the last minute of the final piece, hence the high HR. Averages were probably mid 150s, so maybe a little higher than desirable for UT1, but I wanted to get a decent pace/session in.

I was fairly happy with the SRs, JT! I intentionally slowed them down a little, but not on the last one too much, and not because I saw your post first!

Both. It’s a bit of a nightmare to be honest, but I’m teaching key worker children in school, whilst the children working from home join us live on Microsoft Teams. Today was the first day and it went pretty well.

I will start with the positives: I was quite up for the session after missing it yesterday and training it at a reasonable time today. I was pleased with the first nine minutes and could have gone a little bit faster or held it for a little bit longer if my life depended on it. I was also up for the second rep and didn’t feel totally dead from the first rep, which I usually do, however, my heart rate was being very weird on that second rep. It was over 200 at some points and it was flicking between 170 down to 150 and it totally knocked me out of my rhythm. I was hoping to keep the pace within a couple of seconds of the first rep, but my heart rate being all over the place just put me off. I decided to sprint for the last two minutes. I only have a usual sprinted for 300m or the last minute or so, so I was pleased to hold this sub 1:40 pace for the final two minutes: I was absolutely knackered after.

The negatives are obviously the strange heart rates on the second rep, which kind of ruined my session, and also the higher average heart rate on the first rep it crept up over my AT of 160. Like the other day, I wasn’t overly bothered about this, as I felt it was more important to get another good solid session in.

Very strange on the heartrate front. Have you ever seen that before? Could it be a glitch with the monitor? Did you feel the unusual heartrate activity too? Just a bit concerning to see 200, as that is very high for a gentleman of your advancing years Tongue

It has happened once before on one rep. I don’t know if it’s the monitor/strap playing up, or if I’m dying. I hope it’s the former.

Some nice AT, and sub 1:40 for a couple of minutes at the end of a set Wink must have felt tough. My HR monitor jumps about once in a while, not sure why but I'm pretty sure it's not my heart!

I don't mind when it goes off - I can live with a lost connection. I can't live with a 213 heart rate though!
