It appears I have lost some fitness on the rower. I did this workout with 3 mins rests a couple of weeks ago, held the pace and found it easier.

More rowing required...

There are many factors which could affect your row.
I could list them, I think I have in my log.

Training consistently in the wrong HR range will be close to the top.

Rowing smarter is key.

PS I struggled too today.

I knew I was struggling when I had to sprint the last 90 seconds of the third rep to finish where I wanted to. There was no chance of that happening in the final rep even though I did try to sprint for the last minute.

I bet my HR wasn’t too far off where it should have been in the final rep actually.

The heat definitely didn’t help, but my frequency of rowing hasn’t been high enough recently. I need to sort that out.

And get a HR monitor...

I tried slowing down the SR and pulling harder today and it seemed to work out OK. I had to work in the 4th rep and was a bit worried about the 5th, but I stayed focused and finished strong.

Damn, camping is hard work ..... kids love all the noise and lack of sleep ..... when we last went we woke up with eyes like piss holes in snow !!

I suspect the key is getting blind drunk befor bed !

I meant the training session was hard work, but the camping was too.

I was very drunk the first two nights and moderately drunk the third. The kids had a great time!
