JC - Now you mention it it most likely was a PB. As I said to you earlier, I had a new recruit to the Dungeon - he got 'beasted' with some axle, 15" pulls, farmers, yoke, arm over arm and stones Grin. Cheers mate, feeling in decent nick at the moment. Hopefully I can nail some PBs at 'The Night of Strength'.

Had a night in a hotel in Kirkby Lonsdale last night. It was very nice indeed, but my neck is stiffer than a honeymooner's cock due to the new bed/pillow! I still managed to get a session in, but standing/sitting in between sets wasn't nice. Angry

Cheers Macca - I was/am very pleased with how the squatting is going. I'm going to see how 220kg goes next week. If it goes to plan I should be on for another tasty squat PB in 2-3 weeks time. Moreover, pathetic it may be, I was very happy indeed with my first raw deadlift PB in 4+ years I reckon! If 260+ goes on those I will be really pleased - then I can start working in the suit again...

Olly - I'm on a decent run at the minute, but must be getting bored. I keep getting ideas about how to change my training and don't know whether I should, or not. Hopefully I can keep progressing regardless...

Thanks Robbo and Wayne, although I was a bit disappointed with the chins after doing 50kg x 8 and 55kg x 7 the two previous weeks.

Teddy - I don't know why you'd hate me for doing dips - it's not like they mean f**k all, is it?? In fact I'm thinking of knocking them on the head as I'm not so sure they're a good assistance exercise for overhead... How's your back mate? You IN or OUT for the Night of Strength?

Smalls - back is fine from the other week mate. It was just a cramp/spasm from where I was leaning over slightly for the DO axle holds. My neck, on the other hand, is f**kED! Very painful all day today. Training shouldn't be an issue tomorrow though... Hopefully...

The hate is directed to the strong dips! I've started doing them over the last few months and really like them as assistance.definitely helped my lockout more than any other thing I've tried.

I'm officially out mate, but will be there helping out on the night. All the best for your last few weeks prepHappy

I understood the hatred, I just didn't feel it's something worthy of being hated for like a big overhead, or deadlift, say.

250kg x 1 (failed the first pull)

Weights well down on a couple of weeks ago. I will try mixed grip with straps next week...

Axle clean and press (clean each rep)

Feel your pain about hotel pillows and back necks. Ive had a bad neck since last years work christmas do hotel stay!
