invite only ! Member 1159, 760 posts | In 2011 southern qualifier the events were 120kg log for reps, 140kg farmers, 340kg yoke, 250kg deadlift, max axle, stones 110-150. I don't know what the midlands and northern was exactly but I remember all organisers agreeing to make the qualifiers heavy. Doing this caused low entry numbers (especially down south) and people moaning everything was too heavy. So this year they loewered the weights and I'm sure the strongest man still won and the top 3 strongest qualified. Same apllies here the strongest guys will still qualify but it also gives people chance to come do the comp without being completely disheartened. When you get to the finals such as englands, britains and uks etc they will not be light. So tbh I think the set of events in the northern and southern that have been posted for next year look the bo***cks and I'm sure will be a great set of comps to start the season off. | ||

Member 1307, 14110 posts SQ 355, BP 240, DL 370965.0 kgs @ 102kgs UnEq | If it's to heavy you don't get as many people entering which makes for a worse comp. some guys that could take scalps in certian events may get put off by a few no reppers, i like the maxle means you get some big lifts but everyone can have a pb attempt ! | ||

Shoulderz like boulderz Member 842, 479 posts | lol cheers Mark. Didnt do great last year, had a few weak events but hope to sort those. Got a f**ked shoulder at the minute but will be ok by then, training with Loz at the moment so should hopefully sort any weakness out. | ||
