Or making sure there is continuity. oh, we should abolish that sugden dumbell category at once by the way

If you look at the form there are a few things that are slightly problematic - like the fact that it asks for a coach and we don't have one etc. But Ben (who runs the britishpowerlifting site) said that didn't matter. The fact that we might not all be training at the same place on the near future doesn't matter either - the weightlifting club I occasionally go to (and used to go to all the time) moved location completely but still kept the name of the building it used to be housed in. I also agree that the Sugden Dumbbell category should be dropped. By the way, I just put "Sugden" for "club" on my entry form for the Mcr and District. If people stop dropping out of competitions all the time, we might get one (NW Unequipped next year?) where by far the most well represented club in the comp is Sugden Barbell!

As uni club we would get support, funding and use of the minibus We would need 15 member though, and staff members like myself dont count... Next april unequipped will be littered with SB! And if things go to plan, so will the nationals after that

Plus I'm not going to register with BWLA until next year anyway so I won't be eligible for any positions (did somebody say CHAIRMAN?). Registering the club after Christmas might be best - it's not as if it's needed beforehand? I do imagine I'll be staying in Manchester for sometime. Living back home with all the country hicks like Wildboar doesn't appeal to me at the minute. RICK FOR PRESIDENT!! As for the abolishment of Sugden Dumbell, this is a very sad day indeed. As founder of this movement, I thought I had passed on the torch to members capable of presenting Sugden Barbell a challenge. Sadly not. One day Dumbell will rise again.
