Thought I'd give this journal a bash... Been reading though enough of them Tongue

Goals are varying but I want a 180kg bench sometime this year as well as to learn how to front-squat properly and also to get a 140-150kg log (hopefully)

Thursday 1st March 2012

Trained a bit with Chaos tonight on the log; beforehand though:

Bench:

20 x bar
10 x 70kg
6 x 100kg
5 x 120kg
3 x 2 at 140kg

All reps paused and suffering from s**tty sinusitis Roll-Eyes

Log (all presses strict bar the 100kg's):

10 x 40kg
6 x 40kg (cleans only)
6 x 60kg
6 x 60kg (cleans only)
2 x 80kg (clean & pressed)
2 x 80kg
2 x 90kg
2 x 100kg
2 x 100kg
2 x 110kg (cleans only - pressing attempt was piss poor Unhappy )
2 x 100kg
4 x 90kg
5 x 80kg (cleaned & pressed one movement)

Incline long-press/bench:

6 x 40kg
6 x 60kg
6 x 80kg

May do Ben; just have to see how it goes in the near future...

Squats and deads have severely suffered over the last year so need to bring them back on track plus visits to SAS to get used to the equipment again etc...

I've now learned that controlling the log on the down is better than just dropping it...

Got one very dead right leg this morning Unhappy

More than likely even though I've got my own now... Want to get back to doing the tyre and stones as well... Maybe the odd dumbbell or 2 as well

Monday 05th March

Log:

10 x 40kg (one movement reps)
10 x 40 (1 press)
10 x 60kg (one movement reps)
6 x 80kg (1x clean - strict reps)
2 x 100kg
2 x 110kg
2 x 110kg (missed at the lock out)
3 x 100kg
5 x 90kg (one movement reps)
6 x 80kg (one movement reps)

Seated dumbbell presses:

10 x 70lbs
6 x 80lbs
6 x 90lbs
5 x 110lbs

- Some lat dumbbell raises to the side and the front up to 50lbs for 10's & some EZ bar curls for 8's up to 60kg (I never train biceps so now I know I need to train these more)|!

- 5 x 8 reps both left & right hand on Captains of Crush No. 1.5 (closed and held for 2 secs each rep)

Knackered & with a dead right leg AGAIN from dropping the log Unhappy

14mile cycle this morning in just under 55mins at an average 16.7mph...

Not too bad on a mountain bike with tyres that have tread like bricks Roll-Eyes

I love cycling (havnt done it in awhile tho) Have one of those fancy speedos fitted on my front wheel (that costs a tenner from Halfords!) max speed, average speed, distance and all that jazz Happy
P.s. Probably a good idea to try not to drop the log on your next session? Wink
