Hey comrade! i'll do a comp in Belgium on the 25th of july.. Not really preparing for it this time... Just trainig in the gym and trying to become stronger... Just a bit overtrained events i think... Alex will do the Nationals on the 11th of july! He prepared very well for it and is stronger then ever.. Extremely strong on the medleys, 145kg IFSA log yesterday, 340kg DL with bar on 4 inch blocks etc... So looking good for him.... To bad Jarno Hams isnt competing caus of a very nasty leg injury, tore half his quad 2 weeks ago! | ||

Aiming for 250-255 on a good day now... No preparing for a certain week or so, just whenever i feel ready in a deadlift session i'll do it! | ||

The Netherlands Connection Member 176, 641 posts SQ 260, BP 145, DL 265670.0 kgs @ 105kgs UnEq | Yesterday i competed in "International Strongest man of Flanders" in Belgium. 12 competitors from 5 countries. Jimmy Laureys (Belgium strongest man and champions leaugue competitor) was the organizer and also favorit for the title. Event 1: 380kg Tyre 6 flips I finished 9th with all 6 flips just in time. Tyre was good of ground but very hard from knees to flip... Happy to get the 6 flips caus tyreflip isnt my best event. Event 2: Powerstairs 100-150-200 on 4 stairs The 100kg was way to light, 150 was good doable fast but the 200 felt much heavier then 200.... More like 220-230. just could get 1 stair with it... Not happy and 9th place again. Event 3: 125kg Axle clean en press in 60sec Managed to get 3 reps! Very happy with this and average 3rd on this! Event 4: Farmerswalk medley 100-130-155 for 15m 100 easy and fast, 130kg was even deeper lift off then deadlift and with 40mm handles... couldnt get them off floor.... too bad, but with me 5 others also i think... Event 5: Stones 125-135-145-155-170 at 1.40m or 55inch managed 3 stones, fail 155 just at knee and time was over... too bad really wanted this stone and would have given me 2 places higher in end placings... Final standings: 8 out of 12 competitors. Happy with Axle and Tyre, stones oke, rest really needs work! Especcialy backstrenght.... Jimmy Laureys won and Alex finished 2nd. | ||
