The first man to run the 4 minute mile,but I think maybe a bit more than that to anyone who aspires to achieve anything,he really told the world through this feat that if you want something and are willing to work hard anything is possible,even if others say that's impossible or doubt, message received and a race well run,

I also liked this quote.

I'd like to think this applies to your goals just keep moving towards them, do your thing before its too late!!! Happy

On the announcement of his record sub-four minute run on 6 May 1954 by Norris McWhirter:"He had carefully rehearsed. He announced: 'The result of event No. 8, 1 mile, was R.G. Bannister, of Merton and Exeter Colleges, in a time which subject to ratification, is a new track record, a new British all-comers record, a new European record, a new Commonwealth Empire record, a new world record in 3....'
