Doesn't like tall people very much. Member 5708, 391 posts SQ 260, BP 195, DL 275730.0 kgs @ 137.5kgs UnEq | Venice. Best place I've ever been. Much preferred it to Rome, Paris etc. I went in Jan and it's perfect because it isn't crowded and the water doesn't smell in the cold.

Loads of history and apart from the language barrier at least they use the same currency! Glasgow's supposed to be a cracking night out as well.

Glasgow is full of jakeys and you're likely to get stabbed. I don't recommend it if you have a strong London accent.

Aiming for a 250 squat by the end of 2012 Member 1989, 3168 posts SQ 240, BP 140, DL 270650.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 12.01.2016 @ 12:03 PM by shortandmighty Oslo, Very nice City plenty of places to eat and drink, a little expensive though. If you like Amsterdam you could go further south and visit Utrecht, it's a University city in Holland, loads of great restaurants and brilliant night life but also plenty of quieter places. If you want somewhere closer go to Belfast, really friendly loads of history etc and the centre is really lively, go in the harp bars at night and there are live bands most nights. If you want decent weather head to Portugal, pretty cheap to get there and quite cheap to eat and drink too. Locals are really friendly, stay away from the gypsy markets though full of thieves and chances.

Very little population, Kaunas is a lot cheaper than Vilnius. No rain there, either. Economy is pants, so everything whilst you're there is cheap.

For tourists I'd recommend Edinbugger more. Rose street is ok for a night out.
