Has anyone got any tips for a pre-workout drink? NO-Xplode?

I usually just have a protein shake about 45 mins before the gym but then it's been about 4 hours since I had my last meal. Should I try and eat a smaller meal 2 hours before the gym?

I find my workouts are much stronger when I train Saturday mornings an hour after breakfast.

Any advice would be great.

iv just been introduced to taurine and caffine... worked very well in the gym, increased aggression etc, but had to limit use due to bad sides ie cant eat, sleep.... cheap aswell...

dont waste money on pre-workout supps. if you want a boost, caffeine is all you need.

Yep.

Most of your workouts should be putting in the graft, putting the work in. For the occasional PR workout I can see it being useful but not all the time.

I agree! Maybe coffee before most sessions and something more extreme for the over 90/100+% sessions

No pre-workout for me - never found anything that worked other than a couple of double espressos! But if I have that then don't sleep!

Whats with the 1200mg of Iburprofen? Are you in that much agony whilst training?!?! Confused

I have a protein shake with taurine and a banana in it about an hour/hour & a half before training plus a strong coffee about 30mins before training

Only take the taurine as I keep suffering from cramps in my lower back/hip region and mid-back but this has been happening for a long time now due to this impinged nerve in my hip

Have tried some of the pre-workout stuff and it just gave me the shakes & s**ts!

I have 3 x200 mg ibuprofen , 4 x powerkick tabs ( cheaper version proplus) and either a double espresso or energy drink 45 mins before training , by the time I get to the gym I'm bursting to lift and still feel full of energy and chatty as fook by the end of my session.

By contrast dedicated pre workouts have left me shaky and crashed out mid session with nausea and a s**tty mood to boot , not worth the money ime but some swear by them so who knows Tongue maybe try and get some free/cheap samples before spending out Happy
