Happy with farmers, yoke was alittle slow, stones ok. | ||

I just looked back and I’ve had 14 days off deadlifting, no wonder my line was shocking tonight. also ate way too close to training and felt like I was going to chuck on each rep. A) deadlift belt on 200x1 240x1 280x1 310x1 352.5x1 What sort of shifty ass jumps where they, f**k me. B) yoke 10m belt on 320 1 run 370 2 runs 400 1 run C) stone one motions no tacky 110 x8 120 x8 - that was decent need another light deadlift day before comp, make sure line it right. | ||

thinner after lockdown Member 594, 4166 posts SQ 100, BP 80, DL 100280.0 kgs @ 120kgs Eq | Midlands strongest man 2021 prep was ok, obviously no where near what it would be if Tom H was still doing my programme so it was abit random but still : I weighed 133kg this morning, when I did Uks 2019 I was 148kg, so I’m definitely not as statically strong. 1) max deadlift - joint 3rd opener 280 320 nice 340 ok 360 miss - wasn’t close, disappointed with that really. 2) 140 torpedo farmers - 2nd/3rd Handles was pretty thick, was banging off the legs too so took it steady, nice smooth run, grip has 100% improved. 3) 135 log reps from chest - 1st 7 reps, always a good event for me, rolled on my ankle on the 3rd rep, didn’t feel nice. 4) 145 sandbag load - joint 1st 3 reps, the bag was really loose which made it difficult, missed the load the first 2 attempts 5) 400 yoke - 2nd dropped it once on the way there and once on the return, was alittle light headed that’s all. 6) 285 squat for reps Hit 5 reps, needed 3 for the win but did another 2, not sure why because they wasn’t easy ha Overall first and got my place at UKs again, looking forward to it, going to try and enjoy myself, I’m happy to compete and stay at the Uks level and not let it consume my whole being like it has in the past. | ||

A) DB windmill 10 x5 - 2 pause at bottom 20 x5 - 2 pause at bottom 30 x5 - 2 pause at bottom B) DB clean (1st rep only) and press 55 4x3 - both arms 60 3x3 - both arms 65 1x3 - right arm C1) Viking push press (neutral grip / facing out) (plate weight noted) 50x12 60x10 80x8 70x12 C2) halbert raises 5 4x20 D) rope grip hangs BW 5 sec on 5 off 6 rounds x 3 sets Still very sore but feeling good and excited now. | ||

I can make a weight look easy then add 2kg and miss the lift ha Windmills are very awkward, Tom has a weightlifter he coaches that does sets of 5 with a 60kg dumbbell, that’s crazy! | ||
