cheers iain...the bench singles went quite well mate,,,,onto 170 in training and maybe more at the Bournemouth meet...

trained with Colin today, cool guy....he helped with my wraps and i did the best with my limited knowledge of squatting to help him improve.....

did the following:

60x3
100x1
140x1, knee wraps and suit on, straps down...easy
180x1, as above
200xm, 1....more to do with the wraps being a major distraction because of my low pain threshold...need to stop being a girl and get it sorted
215xm...again the pain was distracting

DL 1w/ 60, 100, 140, 180, 200 3W/ 220kg...PR triple...good stuff, onto 225 next session which might be in a week or fortnight depending on how the recovery is.

CGRDL 9w/ 200kg....up two reps from last time...nearly at ten!!!

will raw bench and do BB style upper on Wednesday
raw SQ work, 180x3-5 reps+abs on Thursday, and maybe work on the wrap technique so it doesn't hurt so f**king much!

Sunday, some sort of lockout work cause i am getting inked on Friday, so i can't put the shirt on until the following Sunday

Nice stuff. You're almost guarnteed to have a duff session 1st time (I know its not quite for you) in the gear. Is colin aka mouser, or the other guy you had lined up for pulling tight sweater SnM gear onto you hot bod?

Mouser....cool guy...strong guy.....pulls 250 at 85 or something like that!?!

used my OLD ASS Titan centurion and Metal Wraps...i think i will sell/trade my size 50 Rage X and size 36 TRX as the don't fit awful well or at all in the TRX's case and i'd be more comfortable learning the gear using some decently tight, but not insanely tight stuff.

Yep, twas I Ian, I don't go by my name often online.

Phil, your pain tolerance is better than you let on*, the bruising and such on the back of his knees is testament to that. That 9th rep @ 180 was pretty much a full deadlift too, 10 reps is there for the taking.

* Nearly on a par with premiership footballers... far more than the average schoolgirl Tongue

did the following today:

Bench 3w/ 60, 80, 100 1w/ 110 5w/ 120kg.....pretty pleased with this, gonna try and work upto 130 or better for a triple in the next few months

pause bench 2x5w/ 110kg......good and solid

power cleans 3w/ 110, 105, 100...the first set was a bit tough, and the rest were easy

grippers.....not too good on the no 3 today, but i am trying to get there.....

I should be able to make it down next Wednesday for a benching session. Hopefully I'll remember to bring guts and determination this time and not malnourishment and fatigue Embarassed

Which grippers are you using out of interest, and how much force does it take to close a 2 / 2.5 / 3?

haha....you seemed to do okay the last time mate......

it'll be good to have a decent handoff for Wednesday, but it'll be after 6 pm or kinda early, preferably after 6pm Grin

AFA the poundage you use to close a gripper, it is somewhat of an arbitrary poundage that is generated that is related to many things like the depth of the spring mount, the spread of the handles, how the handles are positioned in the hands etc, etc.....if you want some actually poundages maybe googling the term 'red neck griper calibrator' could help you.

did the following today:

squat 3w/ 180kg...solid enough, gonna add 2.5kg next week and work my way up to 200 for a triple or try to as the raw is a bit on the back burner until i get the suit and wraps sorted

pause sq 5x2w/ 162.5kg...painful, haha

3*180 should be easy enough for you, but doing it the same week as a heavy squats session is asking a lot! Was that in the suit again?

Are you still good for 6ish on Wednesday... or whatever time it ends up being?

nah, that was in the raw.....solid enough, starting to fashion something of a groove, which is nice....

Wednesday after 6 is looking solid, should be okay......but gimme a PM on Tuesday night and i'll know for sure...trying to move house and it is a pain in the arse....

did the following today:

Power clean 1w/ 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110kg 2w/ 115, 110kg 3w/ 105kg.....the 115 double is DEFO a prGrin looking forward to lifting when i ain't tired and stressed by this moving s**t!

DL up to 6x1w/ 200kg...just speed and tech work.....was gonna try a 225kgx3 but i wasn't feeling my best, so i decided to be a little sensible about it, haha...i'll nail the f**ker next week!!!!!

will do BB upper on Wednesday with a few folks and will try a 122.5kgx5 BP!

cheers Iain! 120, maybe 125 should fall in the PC and PP!!!! and your BW power snatch is very solid goal that you should get...

i did the following today to help my mate get over some fairly heavy s**t that happened over the weekend....and to vent some stress...

did the following:

BP up to 5x2w/ 122.5kg....paused the last rep on my last set to make sure i owned it....will try to get to 125 with this set/rep scheme and work up to a triple with 130kg which has been my ultimate goal regardless of how i got there either from sets of five or doubles or whatever.....and it is by far a lot more volume with this weight than i have done before.

pause bench 5w/ 110 4w/ 112.5kg..missed the last rep on the second set, should get it next time.

shrugs about 6 sets or so, upto 200x6...easy sets here, these were done standard BB style and not dynamic

CSR about 6 sets or so....working up to a heavy triple, haha...

hey,

did the following yesterday:

EQ squat

3w/ 60kg, suit on, straps up
1w/ 100kg
1w/ 140kg
1w/ 160kg, knee wraps
2x1w/ 180kg...solid
2x1w/ 190kg.....easy once i got the stance widened and sat back.
2x1w/ 200kg...easy again, but i need to really work on arching when i have the suit on...along with keeping my grip narrow, because it keeps me more upright and arched
1w/ 210kg...solid, but not a grinder.

pause SQ, raw
3x2w/ 165kg...a bit rough after the EQ squat.

will do some shirted bench, power cleans and maybe CGRDL on Friday,

1w/ 120kg, shirted and paused
1w/ 130kg ''
1w/ 140kg ''
1w/ 150kg ''
miss w/ 160kg, i was a gnat's cock away from locking this bas***d out, arrrrrggghhhh, will get this by the All English, this should be a 2nd attempt and then maybe 10 kg more for a third attempt.
3x2w/ 140kg, both reps were paused

will do some lockout work and lots of upper back on my next upper day,
