hey....

Thing..thanks mate...working towards a 200kgx5...that'd be aceGrin

Iain...let's make it Friday...i'll rest up and take a heavy triple in the BP, maybe 125-130kg, and i'll do some heavy DL....final session of the DL accumulation phase, 7x5w/ 210kg, haha....thank f**k for that! might try 250kg for a single the week after, and the it'll be 2 weeks of power cleans trying for a PR and then the peaking phase.

cheers Doc...

was meaning to ask you...I'm looking at doing my pre-reg year, pharmacy, in either Oxford or Cambridge, was curious if you know of any place that I might lift in Cambridge...obviously if I get to work at the ORH, then I might be able to make it down your way.

TIA,
phil.

A-max gym in Cambridge is very good and powerlifting friendly. Most of the Cambridge 'heavies' train there. There are some really big bodybuilders and a few powerlifters too. A BDFPA lifter called Ryan lifts there. He goes by 'Ryan W' on PLUK.

If you don't want to train in a large gym, I can put you in touch with Jenny Hunter or Jackie Blasberry. They both train in Cambridge in Robinson College Gym. It's very basic but does the trick and the equipment belongs to Dave Tucker who used to work at the college (Dave is an ex-lifter and now BWLA ref). Jenny and Jackie are two of GB's finest masters lifters with a string of titles to their names going back to the early eighties! They are very friendly and will love male attention/presence lol!

If you end up in Oxford, you'll train with me and we'll kick each other's asses down Iffley road Wink

sounds good, and thanks for the reply!!!...haha

now let's hope that i do well enough in the exams/project and with the online application form for next year etc that one of those spots offers me a place Grin

did the following today:

BP 6x5w/105kg....smooth.

DL 7x5w/ 205kg...better than last time.....this is really heading towards where i want it...i might consider doing little else to finish this up closer to 220kg for the sets and reps over the Summer...that'd put me within spitting distance of 600lbs methinks.

grippers 20 CCS singles with the no1...LOTS of tech work....using the 3 tomorrow!!! will get it all the way to parallel, haha.....and one day closed!

BP, CSR, abs and maybe some work for the gunz!
later,
phil.
