Went to olympic in ashton to try at some strongman

farmer's walks
Up to 90kg each hand. Did about 20m

Axle/ log
Not sure how much these weighed and had a lot of trouble with both. Got a few reps with the log but nothing heavy. Couldn't clean the axle and got a nice big bruise on my forearm for the trouble.

Keg loading
95kg keg. Loaded it up to the platform six times before i started missing.

All a bit heavy and awkward. Gonna go about once a week before oly dragons.

pete , im there every saturday from 11 ..i usually go upstairs for a bit then down for some events ..next week i will be deadlifting and log/axle pressing upstairs then down for some farmers/stones/yoke

I appreciate that Boar. I'm supposed to be working next sat but will see if i can swap shifts. Pretty sure I can do the sat after that unless I'm on holiday. Spoke to Kev at the gym and he's gonna help us out as well.

Strongman day

Powerclean & push jerk
Up to a couple singles at 100kg

Log
Few reps at 70 & 80, then a few misses at 90.
Brought it down for a couple more 70s. Struggled with the overhead. Tried a push jerk and nearly dropped it on myself. needs more work.

Yoke
Warm up and then a couple goes at 200kg. pretty tough.

Farmer's walk
2 rounds with 90kg/ hand.

Pretty beat up so went to a bikram yoga class. Back feels much better now, it's like magic.
